superb photo, we dont get snow here in Australia .. only in select snow fields

Hi Juanita – on my monitor it looks to have a dark blue/purple cast to the dark areas. Did you do that? Not that we get much snow around here either, but I think taking pictures can be pretty tricky in snow, all that contrast. These turned out nicely.
I didn’t even notice the purple
Upon checking it only looks that way on wordpress, against this background 
It is a mid-black on my computer, in file.. This is straight from my camera so no purple should be in it lol I still super like it, even with the purple 
Thanks for pointing that out though!! I don’t normally do snow.. I am alittle scared.. But it was fun this time, just for fun!! I don’t think I did too bad though….
You did a great job. I was admiring the purple and wondering how you did it. Now I know, WP did it for you – a small bonus. But also, something to know about how images can get altered. I notice weird things going on with mine sometimes too.
Well Thank You!! I’m sure you could do it in Photoshop.. I just don’t like to edit photo’s.. I have photoshop, I can edit, but I think altering photo’s makes them fake for the most part!! I want true beauty

Fantastic shot! Oftentimes B&W photos are more powerful–show more of the details. The snow looks so delicate the way it’s laying on the dark, thin branches. One can see tiny flecks on the tiny mounds. Very nice. Would make a great Christmas card.
